Portland is the quirky, rain-kissed heart of the Pacific Northwest—and on August 16th, it becomes a battlefield for something way weirder than Portland’s usual weird: an Ingress XM Anomaly.
From GORUCK challenges to potential NL1331 sightings to beer-and-battle Resistance meetups, the weekend will be stacked with events and missions designed to test your skill and deepen your allegiance.

You’ll fight through rose gardens, dodge scooters downtown, and maybe even see a unicyclist in a Darth Vader mask. That’s just Portland. Between green parks, food trucks, art murals, and historic architecture, it’s one of the most unique anomaly backdrops you’ll ever experience.

Craving ramen? Vegan donuts? A triple-smoked IPA brewed in someone’s garage? Portland’s food scene is ridiculous—in the best way. With tons of hotels, Airbnbs, and light rail access, your stay can be as budget or bougie as you like.

Fly into PDX. It’s a major airport with connections across the U.S. and beyond. From there, hop on the MAX Red Line and you’re basically anomaly-ready.
Light rail, electric scooters, walking, and yes, bikes with baskets. Public transit is accessible and runs directly to most game zones.
Downtown Portland, the Pearl District, and Lloyd Center are all close to the action. We’ll be adding hotel discount codes soon!

A FREE, city-based augmented reality battle organized by Niantic and run by local Resistance. You’ll compete with other agents for territory, control portals, and make global history.
Each exciting Anomaly battle consists of several gameplay challenges described by Niantic for each Anomaly Season in its rules!
