How to get to Tucson

Tucson is accessible by various modes of travel. Agents can fly into Tucson Regional Airport directly. Agents can fly into Phoenix International Airport and get connecting flights; or drive from Phoenix. Amtrak is possibility for some agents. Greyhound is also a possibility.

Depending on your arrival time you might get shuttles from the airport to nearby hotels.

Sign up today and join the room and ride share chat. It is a good resource if your travel times are too early or too late for a shuttle.

Tucson is reachable via I-10 and I-8 freeways. Once in town there is a free tram that can take agents from downtown into the playbox .

No matter how you choose to get here, Tucson is ready and waiting to explore!

How do I get around?

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are widely available and convenient, especially for quick trips across town.

Where to stay?

Tucson is very busy with tourism at the end of February. Agents are encouraged to book hotels, Airbnb, or other lodging as soon as they are able!

Downtown is the site of many hotels. The RES Hotel is the AC Hotel Downtown by Marriott. It is located at 151 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85701

Agents might also be interested in historic hotels, such as Hotel Congress; famous for being the spot where John Dillinger was captured by law enforcement in 1934.

Cheaper hotels can be found near freeways, and possibly around the University of Arizona.

Airbnb is a popular option for agents looking for an extended stay.

Is Tucson a safe city to play at?

Tucson is a metropolitan city. As such, there are unhoused people trying to make ends meet in public areas.

However, downtown tourist areas are busy and thriving with many late night attractions. It tends to be more patrolled.

What should I see?

Tucson has so many things to offer! Mission Day on February 23rd will be a great way to see some of Tucson’s “Hidden Gems”.

Those looking to explore can start off with Downtown Tucson. It has many points of interest such as Hotel Congress, multiple bars and other nightlife locations. 4th Ave is a popular destination

The Tucson Zoo is located at 3400 E Zoo Ct. The zoo is part of Reid Park complex.

Pima Air and Space Museum is located at 6000 E Valencia Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756. It is the home of 400 aircraft, from Wright Flyer to a 787 Dreamliner.

Titan Missile Museum: This preserved Titan II missile site, officially known as complex 571-7, is all that remains of the 54 Titan II missile sites that were on alert across the United States from 1963 to 1987. It is located south of Tucson off of I-19.

The University of Arizona: Established in 1885 by the Arizona Territorial Legislature, UofA was the first university in Arizona. Fun fact: Tucson won Uof A, but it wasn’t Tucson’s choice. Tucson leaders were trapped by flooding when Arizona’s Territorial Government was deciding the location for the state capital, the university and a large employment opportunity that Phoenix took, leaving the university to Tucson. That opportunity was the State Hospital for the Insane. Tucson got the better deal in the end, since University of Arizona has some of the most innovative colleges in the United States.
