Quebec City has plenty of safe, welcoming places to rest your scanner — whether you’re looking for elegant architecture, budget options, or something just steps from the action.

When choosing your base of operations, here are a few recommended areas and hotel options to consider:

📍Old Quebec (Vieux-Québec)
If you’re here for the history and the atmosphere, staying inside the old city walls gives you immediate access to anomaly zones, iconic sites, and cobbled charm.

  • Fairmont Le Château Frontenac – A world-famous landmark with historic luxury and unbeatable views. Perfect if you want the royal Resistance treatment.

  • Hotel Clarendon – Elegant and centrally located, this is one of the oldest operating hotels in Canada. A classic choice with easy access to key city checkpoints.

  • Auberge Place d’Armes – Boutique comfort right near Dufferin Terrace, with excellent walkability and a friendly local feel.

📍Saint-Roch & Downtown Core
For a trendier, modern base with great food and nightlife nearby, Saint-Roch is a Resistance favourite.

  • Hotel PUR – A sleek, contemporary hotel with a pool and fitness centre. Walking distance to plenty of bars, coffee shops, and transport lines.

  • Monsieur Jean, Hôtel Particulier – Artsy, fun, and right between Old Quebec and Saint-Roch. Ideal if you want a stylish stay that’s still close to mission routes.

💸 Budget-Friendly Options
Need to save for battle gear? There are solid options that don’t break the XM bank.

  • Auberge Internationale de Québec – A large, well-located hostel with both dorms and private rooms. Excellent for groups or solo agents on a budget.

  • Hotel du Nord – North of the city centre, offering basic comforts at a great price. A short bus or bike ride from the action.

  • Motel et Camping Etchemin – If you’re driving in and want to stay just across the river in Lévis, this is a low-cost option with ample parking.

🚉 By the Train Station (Gare du Palais)
If you’re arriving or leaving by train, you’ll find several good hotels nearby, including:

  • Hôtel Le Saint-Paul – Just a short walk from the station, with a cozy atmosphere and easy access to both Old Quebec and Saint-Roch.

Quebec City is widely regarded as one of the safest cities in North America, with a strong sense of community and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great place for visitors, including Resistance agents – whether you’re navigating the anomaly or exploring between operations.

As with any urban area, it’s smart to stay aware of your surroundings, especially during large public events. The city regularly hosts festivals, parades, and cultural gatherings – including those in 2025 – and local authorities are experienced in managing crowds smoothly and safely.

For the latest safety updates or alerts, it’s wise to check local news outlets or official travel advisories before and during your stay.
